Average Salary and Economy

Average annual income in United Kingdom is around 30,400 GBP (47,500 USD), according to 2012/2013 salary survey.

Average full-time weekly earnings in London were 640 GBP, what is much higher than in other parts of the country, where incomes are from 440 GBP in Northern Ireland to 525 GBP in the South East.

Other statistics on the Internet and data from job offers shows much higher salaries at the end of year 2011.

The most height average incomes in UK are from Financial jobs where UK average is around 52,500 GBP, while London average is around 60,000 GBP in Finance. There are pretty lots of people who get salary from 60,000 GBP to 100,000 GBP per year. And much lower percentage of employees that receive more than 100,000 GBP per year in Finance.

A little bit lower average salaries are for IT employees of around 40,000 GBP per year as UK average and 50,000 GBP in London.
